Landing Page

A Landing Page is a standalone web page designed with a specific goal in mind, typically used for marketing or advertising campaigns. It is where a visitor “lands” after clicking on an ad, email link, or search engine result.

Key Characteristics:

  • Goal-Oriented: Focused on a single objective, such as lead generation, product promotion, or event registration.
  • Minimal Navigation: Usually lacks a full website menu to keep visitors focused on the call-to-action (CTA).
  • Clear Call-to-Action (CTA): Encourages users to take a specific action, such as signing up, downloading a resource, or making a purchase.
  • Concise & Persuasive Copy: Uses engaging headlines, persuasive content and strong visuals to drive conversions.
  • Form or Interactive Element: Often includes a sign-up form, contact form, or interactive button to capture user data.

Types of Landing Pages:

  • Lead Generation Landing Page: Collects user information (e.g., name, email) in exchange for something valuable (e.g., eBook, free trial).
  • Click-Through Landing Page: Provides information to encourage visitors to take the next step, usually leading to a purchase or signup.
  • Sales Page: Directly promotes a product or service, with persuasive content and social proof to drive sales.
  • Event Registration Page: Focused on getting users to sign up for an event, webinar, or conference.
  • Coming Soon/Pre-Launch Page: Used to generate anticipation and collect emails before a product or service launch.
